Scriptures see a lot of use.
Paper Leaf Bindery provides professional scripture repair services in Utah and nationwide. Clients ship their LDS scriptures, Bibles (KJV, NIV, etc.), and heirloom volumes to us from across the United States, including California, Florida, Alaska, Georgia, Arizona, Illinois, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Colorado, Washington, and Hawaii, just to name a few of the 50 states we have received scriptures from.
There are few books that get read as often as scriptures. Naturally, over time, the wear and tear overwhelm, and the scriptures are no longer of use without adding further damage to the book. The sad truth is that scriptures are just not built for constant use. All is not lost, and nearly every set of scriptures can be repaired to the point they can be used regularly again.

Do you have any personal or family scriptures that need repair to make them usable again, or conservation for preservation? We would love to assist you!
Living here in Utah, we receive many requests to repair scriptures for members of various faiths, including the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As members of this faith ourselves, we find great meaning in helping others preserve these treasured books—we’ve even had the opportunity to repair and recover our own well-loved sets of scriptures. We have had the opportunity to repair the personal scriptures and other religious texts of current and past prophets, apostles, and other prominent religious leaders.
We love working with sacred texts and have been privileged to restore volumes spanning centuries and spiritual traditions, from a Book of Hours circa 1400 to first-edition copies of the Book of Mormon, as well as the everyday scriptures used by individuals today. These include texts from faith traditions such as:
- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Catholicism (including NIV and other modern versions of the Bible)
- Evangelical Christianity
- Judaism
- Mainline Protestant denominations (e.g., Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian)
- Eastern Orthodoxy
- Seventh-day Adventism
- Jehovah’s Witnesses
- Islam
- Non-denominational Christian communities
Each repair is approached with care, respect, and archival-quality materials to honor the personal and spiritual value these books hold.
