Younique—Sepia

Younique is the first linoleum cut block I did and it is my favorite. These are printed as a series. black was printed first, then this one in sepia, it has now also been printed in green, with red to follow in the fall of 2019. The inspiration for this piece comes from an experience I had as a young teenager. I have experienced many health trials throughout my life starting at a very young age. One day as I  painstakingly walked home from junior high, I felt keenly, like most teenagers do, like I was a “nobody”. Walking along the sidewalk with fall leaves crunching underfoot, I came upon a leaf too beautiful to crush.
